The Old Delano-McFarland Cemetery District which was formed in 1938. The name was changed 7 March 1972 to North Kern Cemetery District. The North Kern Cemetery is the only public cemetery for Delano, McFarland and the surrounding areas. In the past it has been called the Delano Cemetery, also Delano McFarland Cemetery. At present it is owned and maintained by the North Kern Cemetery District.
